Asphalt Shingles
The most common roof in Maryland, and usually the best value. Wide colour range, straightforward to repair, and a full manufacturer system warranty when every layer comes from one maker.
Best for: most homes
The Full Job, Done Once
Tear-off, inspection of the decking, and a complete new system from one manufacturer — so the warranty actually holds.
Rated by Maryland Homeowners
Fixing part of a roof stops a leak; it does not fix a roof that has reached the end of its life. If the shingles are breaking up across every slope, patching one of them just moves the problem to the next storm.
We inspect first and tell you plainly which job you are looking at. If a repair will genuinely see you through another few years, we will say so — that is the smaller job for us, and we would still rather you heard it straight.
Five systems, and an honest recommendation about which suits your house, your roof pitch and your budget.
The most common roof in Maryland, and usually the best value. Wide colour range, straightforward to repair, and a full manufacturer system warranty when every layer comes from one maker.
Best for: most homes
A shingle built on a fibreglass mat rather than a felt base — lighter on the structure, with a higher fire rating and strong resistance to cracking as temperatures swing.
Best for: longer life, fire rating
Standing seam and metal panel systems that outlast shingles by decades, shed snow and ice readily, and reflect summer heat instead of holding it.
Best for: longevity, low maintenance
Membrane systems for flat and low-pitch roofs — porches, additions, dormers and commercial buildings — where a shingle roof simply will not shed water.
Best for: additions, commercial
A natural timber roof with a depth of texture no manufactured product reproduces. A premium choice that wants proper installation and periodic maintenance to reach its lifespan.
Best for: character homes
The old roof comes off so we can see the decking underneath. Roofing over the top hides exactly the problems you are paying to have fixed.
Rotten or soft boards are found and replaced before the new system goes down. We show you anything we find rather than quietly covering it.
Shingles, underlayment, ridge vent and flashing from a single maker. Mixing brands is what voids a system warranty, so we do not.
